Superb fairy-wren stand off

I recently took a series of photos of these sweet little fairy-wrens that were flitting about busily in the undergrowth in the Japanese gardens in Cowra, NSW, Australia.
They're so busy it would be virtually impossible to paint these birds on sight, so much nicer to take my time painting them from the comfort of my home studio.

Medium: watercolour and pencil
Paper: 300gsm Canson watercolour paper (slightly textured)
Image size: 25cm width x 18cm height
Paper size: same as above, image extends right to the edges of the paper.
