Preening Pacific black ducks

$80.00

Please note: this painting is at a reduced price as there are small portions on the back of the watercolour paper that had stuck to a board. The paper is thick enough to not affect the painting and it is not visible on the painted surface. The painting has been glued with archival quality glue to another sheet of watercolour paper for extra support.

Hasties swamp near Atherton in North Queensland is the place to go for birdwatching. Mostly water birds but also rainforest birds and woodland birds can be seen along the fringes of the swamp. The types of birds vary each season but it's very likely to see Pacific black ducks any time of the year. They're especially nice to watch as a group preening themselves and very cute with a feathers stuck to their beaks.
